Why Compare Interstate Couriers?

Interstate prices and delivery times vary more than most people expect. Each courier runs its own network between states, so the cheapest option on one route can be the slowest on another, and booking direct with one courier only ever shows you their price.

Pacer Logistics compares live rates across 50+ Australian couriers in one search. Your results show each option's price in AUD, including GST, fuel and fees, along with the pickup date and the estimated delivery date. The cheapest and fastest options are tagged, so you can choose on price, speed or both.

What Affects Your Interstate Quote

Four things shape the price and delivery date you'll see. Getting them right up front means fewer surprises after you book.

The Route

Enter the pickup and delivery suburb or postcode, or the full address. The route decides which couriers can take your shipment and how long it will take to arrive.

Size and Weight

The quote asks for the quantity, packaging type, weight in kilograms and the length, width and height in centimetres. Measure carefully, because couriers can adjust the price if what they collect doesn't match what you declared.

Home or Business Address

Tell us if the pickup or delivery is at a home rather than a business, so couriers can quote for the right kind of collection and delivery.

Speed

Interstate quotes include road express, air freight and premium priority options where available. Choose the fastest when timing matters, or the cheapest when it doesn't. Results are tagged Fastest and Cheapest, so the trade-off is easy to see.

Sending Something Other Than a Standard Parcel?

Interstate quotes cover standard parcels and cartons as well as larger freight. If your shipment is a different shape, size or speed, one of these will suit it better.

Before You Book: Avoid Surprise Charges and Delays

Measure and Weigh Accurately

Quoted prices include GST, fuel and fees, but they can change if your shipment details change during booking. Couriers can also adjust the price if the size or weight they collect doesn't match what you declared, so measure the packed box, not the item inside.

Pack for a Longer Journey

Interstate parcels travel further than local ones. Use a strong box, fill any empty space and tape every seam so nothing moves in transit.

Declare Dangerous Goods

If your shipment contains dangerous goods, tick the DG box when you get your quote. Some dry batteries, consumer goods, small quantities of aerosols and paints can be sent with a declaration and a surcharge, subject to the courier's approval. Explosives, fireworks, firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs, radioactive materials and unregistered hazardous chemicals can't be sent at all.

Cover Valuable Items

Standard bookings include a transit warranty of up to $350. Sending something worth more? Add extra cover of up to $100,000 at checkout. See Shipment Cover for what's covered.
