Sending one big item? Our Large & Bulky Item Courier page explains how to pack and send it.
Measure the loaded pallet, including the pallet base and anything stacked on it. A standard Australian pallet is 1165 mm by 1165 mm, and the height of the load matters as much as the footprint. Maximum weights and heights, and whether non-standard pallets are accepted, depend on the courier you choose.
Weigh the whole loaded pallet. Freight is priced on weight and size together, so an accurate figure keeps your quote accurate.
Enter the pickup and delivery suburbs or addresses. The route decides which couriers can take your pallet and when it will arrive.
Pallets usually need a forklift, a loading dock or a truck with a tail-lift at each end. When you quote, say if you need a forklift or tail-lift at pickup or delivery. If you don't, the courier won't bring one, and your pickup or delivery can be delayed.
Couriers can adjust the price if the size or weight they collect doesn't match what you declared, so the last step matters.
Select Pallet in the quote tool, enter the pickup and delivery addresses, and add the quantity, weight and dimensions.
Pacer Logistics shows the pallet services available for your route side by side, with the price and pickup date for each, so you can choose on price, timing or both.
